OFP Challenge Coin

The coin is two-inches in diameter, finished in antique silver with a wave-cut edge. A survey was taken on the old fighter pilots Facebook group to find the most common phrases used by the "fighter pilot" community. Some great phrases had to be cut, as there was only so much real estate to work with. The same goes for the aircraft. There are so many great fighters that we just could not get them all on the coin. Think of the aircraft on the coin as representing "the spirit" of the fighter pilot over time. All proceeds are going to the Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Association or the RIVER RATS.

The center section has the "OLD FIGHTER PILOTS" Facebook logo surrounded by phrases that are a part of every fighter pilot's vernacular. Top half is Air-to-Air and the bottom half is Air-to-Ground.

There are 20 aircraft that represent the heritage and spirit of the "OLD FIGHTER PILOTS", from the SPAD of WW I to the F-35 of today. The aircraft are incircled in the "Gun Site" of the F-4 with radar ranging. This is surrounded by dual rings of phrases that are the life blood of the "OLD FIGHTER PILOTS" vocabulary.

For your $10 donation to the RRFPVA, you will receive an Old Fighter Pilots challenge coin. If you want more than one coin, for each additional donation of $10.00, you will receive an extra coin in the same order. There will be $5.00 added for shipping and handling, no matter how many coins you order.
The initial ordering form shows a donation cost of $10.00. At checkout, you will select the quantity and the $5.00 s&h will be added at that time. If you are outside the U.S., please email us at oldfighterpilots@gmail.com, before you order, and let us know how many coins you want to order, your exact overseas address and we will find out postage on a case by case basis. If you want to pay by check, email us at oldfighterpilots@gmail.com we will give you the address to mail them to. All proceeds from the sale of the coin will go to the River Rats.
